Space Relations Preview

Space Relations (SR) has to do with your ability to visualize and think in three dimensions or picture mentally the shape, the size and positions of objects when shown only a picture or pattern. During the test, you will be presented with a “plan”, i.e. an “aerial view” of a three-dimensional object which is flattened. To the right of this diagram, 4 reconstructions are displayed, 3 of which are incorrect.

You must select the 3-D reconstruction that correctly matches the plan view.

  • Choose the best answer by selecting its corresponding button.
  • There are 15 questions in this test.
  • The test must be completed within the time limit of 15 minutes.

This test is probably the most difficult one in the series. It reflects an ability to deal with mathematical concepts at a high level. When taken in conjunction with the mechanical reasoning test, a high score in both indicates that you should probably pursue technological or scientific careers.
